EU Officials Decry US Move as ‘Coercion’

European leaders such as Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the visa restrictions were placed on figures that were at the heart of efforts to enact laws governing US-based technology firms.

“For too long, ideologues in Europe have spearheaded coordinated campaigns to coerce US companies to suppress US perspectives they disagree with,” stated a senior US official online. “This government will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
